There is now a ‘TreeMap’ visualization available, i.e. nested rectangles whose size represents some nested counts. For more non-technical background, see the post on the other blog.

For several hierarchical inputs this is an option to be specified in the import dialog:

Currently, this is for all Freemind and OPML trees, for file and folder trees (where file counts are represented, unlike WinDirStat which shows kilobyte weights), and most prominently, for the hierarchies that Condensr determines itself from the Betweenness Centralities through the Advanced > Layouts > Make Tree command.
As usual, the new function is only available in the Java version, not yet in the .DMG and .MSI version. (If you have a special reason why you need these please drop us a note, because it is a real pain to produce these packages, while Java works smoothly, and for lightweight or evaluation purposes you can always use the JavaScript Web version in the browser)
